The Wisconsin Intergenerational Orchestra (WIO) is a non-profit 501(c)3 with a mission to bring together musicians of all ages and skill levels and celebrate the joy of music, learning, and shared experiences in an inclusive, supportive environment.
WIO's young and emerging musicians receive vital mentoring support from an Artistic Director and Section Principals and Assistants so that every orchestra member can play with confidence and experience success.
As a donor, your generous support will allow WIO to continue our important intergenerational and educational programming and further our diverse community partnerships.
Currently, we have two options for your monetary support:

General Operational Support. These monies are dedicated to supporting our teaching staff, musical supplies, and outreach programming.

The Roberta B. Mallmann Principal Cello Chair
Enthusiastic supporters of the Wisconsin Intergenerational Orchestra, David and Rebecca are pleased to donate in memory of Rebecca’s mother, longtime WIO principal cellist Roberta Mallmann. The Ayers invite everyone to give and join the WIO donor community.

In Memoriam
Roberta was a cellist and teacher who passed away on March 9, 2022. For decades she performed in local ensembles big and small including the Waukesha Symphony Orchestra, the Kettle Moraine Orchestra, and, most recently, the Wisconsin Intergenerational Orchestra (WIO) where she served as principal cellist. She also had an impressive career as a music educator, including 28 years in the New Berlin School District. Her students ranged in age from elementary to high school grade levels. She nurtured many of these students from 5th grade until they finished high school. Some of those students are now members of WIO.
