The WIO String Octet brings beautiful music to those might find it difficult to attend our formal concerts. Funded through a generous grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, the octet is presenting outreach performances for the residents of St. Camillus (Wauwatosa) and Dickson Hollow (Menomonee Falls). The octet plays a wide variety of repertoire including classics, Broadway tunes, folk music, and other short works.

The WIO String Octet delighted the residents of two Waukesha County Senior Living Residences in November 2022.  Here’s a look at their eclectic program!

Just like any other orchestra, this one starts its practice with a tune up.But the Wisconsin Intergenerational Orchestra is a little different – it accepts players of all ages and skill levels. “The reason we’re doing this is because, number one, it’s beautiful, okay?” artistic director Anne Marie Peterson tells her players.

WIO performs at the Generations United Global Conference

WIO was honored to perform at the Awards Luncheon for the Generations United Global Conference. This years conference was held at the downtown Milwaukee Hyatt. The organization ​provides leadership and service to intergenerational advocates around the world.
